The operators of Coutada 9 in central Mozambique reached out to the STS Moz for urgent assistance with a young male lion caught and badly hurt in a gin trap.
The C9 anti-poaching team found this animal 3 days ago and have been doing an amazing effort to keep him alive until STS can get to him.
The APU rangers are actively digging holes in a dry river bed to help the lion drink and also leaving food nearby every other day.
We are looking to raise $2500 to charter a small plane that can rapidly deploy our veterinary team and cover the cost of any further visits.
Pease help support this project, Africa lost close to 20,000 lions since 1995, let’s make sure that this one doesn’t become another statistic.
More information Coming soon.
